The Glaetzer and Potts families have a long history together. Ben's great grandfather was the first grape grower from Langhorne Creek to supply grapes to Wolf Blass. John was the chief winemaker at Wolf Blass since 1974. Four Jimmy Watson trophies, (equivalent of Wimbledon in Aussie Wine terms), were won under the charge of John.
John has been Ben's mentor for many years. They have the odd dispute over old tried and proven methods versus the new way of doing things at the end of the day everyone's a winner.
There partnership is often referred to as the "Old dog and the new pup". We're not going to mention who is who; you'll work it out.
